A Companhia Independente de Pol\u00edcia de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental (Coppa\/Pitua\u00e7u) realizou, neste fim de semana, duas opera\u00e7\u00f5es de combate ao com\u00e9rcio ilegal de animais silvestres nos munic\u00edpios de Santo Est\u00eav\u00e3o<\/a> e Feira de Santana.<\/p>\n

No s\u00e1bado (20), foram apreendidos 61 aves silvestres que estavam sendo comercializadas de forma irregular na feira de animais da Pra\u00e7a Lineu Cerqueira da Silva, em Santo Est\u00eav\u00e3o. Cinco pessoas foram conduzidas \u00e0 Central de Flagrantes de Feira de Santana para ado\u00e7\u00e3o das medidas legais cab\u00edveis.<\/p>\n

J\u00e1 no domingo (21), a opera\u00e7\u00e3o foi realizada na feira livre da Esta\u00e7\u00e3o Nova, em Feira de Santana, onde os policiais resgataram 216 aves silvestres e conduziram quatro homens por pr\u00e1tica de crime ambiental.<\/p>\n

De acordo com a Lei de Crimes Ambientais (Lei n\u00ba 9.605\/98, Art. 29, \u00a7 1\u00ba, inciso III), \u00e9 crime matar, perseguir, ca\u00e7ar, capturar ou manter em cativeiro animais da fauna silvestre sem autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o, com previs\u00e3o de pena de deten\u00e7\u00e3o de seis meses a um ano, al\u00e9m de multa.<\/p>\n

Os animais resgatados, de diversas esp\u00e9cies, foram encaminhados ao Centro de Triagem de Animais Silvestres (Cetas\/Pitua\u00e7u), onde receber\u00e3o os cuidados necess\u00e1rios para posterior reinser\u00e7\u00e3o ao habitat natural.<\/p>\n
