Uma prociss\u00e3o fluvial foi realizada neste s\u00e1bado (4), celebrando o dia de S\u00e3o Francisco de Assis, padroeiro do munic\u00edpio de Paulo Afonso. Na tradi\u00e7\u00e3o cat\u00f3lica, o santo \u00e9 conhecido como protetor dos animais e da natureza.<\/p>\n

Segundo o site pa4, parceiro do Acorda Cidade, a prociss\u00e3o ocorreu no rio S\u00e3o Francisco, conhecido popularmente como Velho Chico. O cortejo saiu da Prainha Ayrton Senna em dire\u00e7\u00e3o ao Balne\u00e1rio Prainha, conduzindo o andor com a imagem do santo que batiza o rio mais famoso do Nordeste.<\/p>\n

A embarca\u00e7\u00e3o seguiu o trajeto, sendo acompanhada por mais de 25 barcos e dezenas de fi\u00e9is e devotos. Ainda segundo o pa4, a celebra\u00e7\u00e3o ganhou ainda mais significado por coincidir com o anivers\u00e1rio de 524 anos do Rio S\u00e3o Francisco.<\/p>\n
