O desembargador Jos\u00e9 Rotondano \u00e9 o novo presidente do Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a da Bahia (TJ-BA). Ele foi eleito com 32\u00a0votos e vai suceder a desembargadora Cynthia Maria Pina Resende no comando da Corte. A disputa afunilou entre ele e o desembargador Edmilson Jatahy J\u00fanior, que recebeu 26\u00a0votos.\u00a0A elei\u00e7\u00e3o da nova mesa diretora come\u00e7ou \u00e0s 10h\u00a0desta quarta-feira (19).<\/p>\n

O col\u00e9gio eleitoral \u00e9 o Tribunal Pleno, composto por todos os 70 desembargadores. No momento, considerando as vac\u00e2ncias por aposentadorias, falecimento e afastamento, 63 est\u00e3o aptos a votar.\u00a0 Aposentados:\u00a0Licia Fragoso,\u00a0Jefferson Assis, Silvia Zarif e Aliomar Silva Britto. J\u00e1 Cassinelza Lopes segue\u00a0afastada, enquanto\u00a0Jo\u00e3o Augusto Pinto faleceu no \u00faltimo m\u00eas de agosto.<\/p>\n

A elei\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 para o bi\u00eanio 2026-2028. Al\u00e9m da presid\u00eancia, os desembargadores votaram para outros cargos na seguinte ordem: 1\u00ba vice-presidente; 2\u00b0 vice-presidente; corregedor-geral da Justi\u00e7a; corregedor do Foro Extrajudicial.<\/p>\n

Natural de Santa In\u00eas, no Vale do Jiquiri\u00e7\u00e1, o Desembargador e Jos\u00e9 Edivaldo Rocha Rotondano \u00e9 formado em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito de Ilh\u00e9us.<\/p>\n

Aprovado em concurso para o Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico Estadual (MPBA) em 1984, trabalhou como Promotor de Justi\u00e7a nas Comarcas de Casa Nova, S\u00e3o Francisco do Conde, Vit\u00f3ria da Conquista e Cama\u00e7ari.<\/p>\n

Promovido a Procurador de Justi\u00e7a, atuou nas \u00e1reas criminal e c\u00edvel, destacando-se com os Projetos Fam\u00edlia Legal e Paternidade Respons\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n

Foi empossado no cargo de Desembargador do Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a da Bahia (TJBA) em 2013. Elegeu-se, em 2016, Vice-Presidente do Tribunal Regional Eleitoral da Bahia e assumiu a Presid\u00eancia do \u00f3rg\u00e3o no bi\u00eanio 2017-2019, al\u00e9m de desempenhar os cargos de Corregedor Eleitoral e Vice-Presidente no bi\u00eanio 2019-2021.<\/p>\n

Em 2022, tomou posse como Corregedor-Geral do TJBA e foi eleito Presidente do F\u00f3rum Fundi\u00e1rio Nacional das Corregedorias-Gerais dos Tribunais de Justi\u00e7a em abril do mesmo ano. Em fevereiro de 2024, o Desembargador Rotondano foi empossado como Conselheiro do CNJ, tornando-se o primeiro magistrado do TJBA a ocupar esse cargo.<\/p>\n
