A pedido do Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico da Bahia (MP-BA), a Justi\u00e7a condenou um homem ao pagamento de R$ 25 mil a t\u00edtulo de repara\u00e7\u00e3o civil pelos preju\u00edzos causados ao meio ambiente em raz\u00e3o da morte de 23 p\u00e1ssaros da fauna silvestre, no munic\u00edpio de Po\u00e7\u00f5es. <\/p>\n

Segundo a promotora de Justi\u00e7a Karina Cherubini, autora da a\u00e7\u00e3o, o homem mantinha os p\u00e1ssaros em cativeiro ilegal e em condi\u00e7\u00f5es inadequadas de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e espa\u00e7o f\u00edsico. Conforme consta na a\u00e7\u00e3o, no dia 19 de junho de 2015, nas imedia\u00e7\u00f5es da Travessa Tom\u00e9 de Souza, no Munic\u00edpio de Po\u00e7\u00f5es, o r\u00e9u foi abordado por policiais militares, no interior de um ve\u00edculo, onde mantinha em dep\u00f3sito 264 p\u00e1ssaros da fauna silvestre brasileira, sem autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o do \u00f3rg\u00e3o ambiental competente. <\/p>\n

Os p\u00e1ssaros estavam divididos entre 212 p\u00e1ssaros pretos, 14 sofr\u00eas, dois estevos, dois caboclinhos, um bigodinho, um colerinha, um guriut\u00e1, um tico-tico e 12 can\u00e1rios da terra. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs condi\u00e7\u00f5es de cativeiro denotavam maus-tratos, pois os p\u00e1ssaros estavam aprisionados em pequenas gaiolas e caixotes de transporte, conhecidos como bogues, sem oferta de \u00e1gua e alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, em espa\u00e7o confinado, amontoados uns sobre os outros. Havia animais mortos e outros bastante debilitados\u201d, destacou a promotora de Justi\u00e7a.<\/p>\n
