Ag\u00eancia Brasil \u2013 O presidente Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva realizou, nesta sexta-feira (30), uma cirurgia de catarata no olho esquerdo. Em nota, o Pal\u00e1cio do Planalto informou que o procedimento ocorreu sem intercorr\u00eancias e o presidente j\u00e1 recebeu alta hospitalar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lula permanecer\u00e1 na Granja do Torto, uma das resid\u00eancias da Presid\u00eancia da Rep\u00fablica, em Bras\u00edlia, e deve retornar \u00e0s atividades de rotina na segunda-feira (2). A cirurgia foi realizada em uma cl\u00ednica particular da capital federal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Segundo a nota, o presidente segue com o acompanhamento habitual pelas equipes lideradas pelos m\u00e9dicos Roberto Kalil Filho e Ana Helena Germoglio.<\/p>\n

Em 2020, Lula fez o mesmo procedimento, mas no olho direito.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A catarata \u00e9 um processo natural de envelhecimento que resulta na perda da transpar\u00eancia do cristalino, que \u00e9 a lente natural dos olhos, deixando-o opaco e esbranqui\u00e7ado. Pode ocorrer tamb\u00e9m por outros motivos, como diabetes, uso de medicamentos com corticoides ou traumas oculares.<\/p>\n

O indiv\u00edduo que tem esse problema tem a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de enxergar atrav\u00e9s de um vidro emba\u00e7ado, como se estivesse em um ambiente esfuma\u00e7ado ou nublado. Por meio de procedimento cir\u00fargico, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel substituir essa lente natural opaca por uma artificial transparente.<\/p>\n
