A Pol\u00edcia Federal<\/a> deflagrou, nesta quinta-feira (19), a Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Espelho Fumegante 2 para reprimir o contrabando de cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos, na cidade de Ilh\u00e9us (BA). Na a\u00e7\u00e3o, foram cumpridos tr\u00eas mandados de busca e apreens\u00e3o, expedidos pela Vara Federal da Subse\u00e7\u00e3o Judici\u00e1ria de Ilh\u00e9us.<\/p>\n

Os cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos s\u00e3o dispositivos que t\u00eam importa\u00e7\u00e3o, comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o e propaganda proibidas pela Ag\u00eancia de Vigil\u00e2ncia Sanit\u00e1ria \u2013 ANVISA, desde 2009, consoante Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00ba 46\/2009 da ANVISA.<\/p>\n

Os investigados poder\u00e3o responder pelo crime de contrabando, consistente na importa\u00e7\u00e3o,
armazenamento e comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de mercadoria proibida, com pena de reclus\u00e3o de dois a cinco anos.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m do sistema tribut\u00e1rio, a norma penal em comento visa a proteger outros bens jur\u00eddicos, notadamente os ligados \u00e0 sa\u00fade p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n
