O presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, anunciou neste s\u00e1bado que elevar\u00e1 de 10% para 15% a tarifa global sobre produtos estrangeiros. A decis\u00e3o ocorre ap\u00f3s a Suprema Corte dos EUA considerar ilegal o mecanismo utilizado por ele para aplicar as taxas.<\/p>\n

\u201cEu, como presidente dos Estados Unidos da Am\u00e9rica, estarei, com efeito imediato, elevando a Tarifa Mundial de 10% sobre pa\u00edses, muitos dos quais v\u00eam \u2018explorando\u2019 os EUA h\u00e1 d\u00e9cadas, sem retalia\u00e7\u00e3o (at\u00e9 eu chegar!), para o n\u00edvel de 15%, totalmente permitido e legalmente testado\u201d, escreveu Trump nas redes sociais.<\/p>\n

Horas antes, na sexta-feira, ap\u00f3s a decis\u00e3o da Suprema Corte, o presidente havia anunciado uma tarifa global de 10% sobre produtos importados, como forma de manter sua agenda comercial.<\/p>\n

Segundo comunicado da Casa Branca, a taxa anunciada na sexta estava prevista para entrar em vigor em 24 de fevereiro, \u00e0s 0h01 (hor\u00e1rio de Washington). Na publica\u00e7\u00e3o deste s\u00e1bado, Trump n\u00e3o detalhou quando passar\u00e1 a valer o novo percentual de 15%.<\/p>\n
