Foi confirmada na ter\u00e7a-feira (21) a morte do bailarino, core\u00f3grafo e professor Gilmar Sampaio, um dos nomes mais reconhecidos da dan\u00e7a na Bahia. Ele foi encontrado sem vida em seu apartamento, mas detalhes sobre as circunst\u00e2ncias n\u00e3o foram divulgados.<\/p>\n

Segundo a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Afro-brasileira Casa do Mensageiro Terreiro Il\u00ea Ax\u00e9 Ojis\u00e9 Olodumare (Afrocam), o artista morreu por causas naturais. Al\u00e9m da atua\u00e7\u00e3o na dan\u00e7a, Gilmar tamb\u00e9m era sacerdote do candombl\u00e9 e teve papel importante na constru\u00e7\u00e3o e fortalecimento da institui\u00e7\u00e3o religiosa, que destacou a perda como \u201cimensur\u00e1vel\u201d.<\/p>\n

Segundo divulgou o g1, no cen\u00e1rio cultural, diversas institui\u00e7\u00f5es lamentaram a morte do artista. A Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Greg\u00f3rio de Mattos ressaltou a trajet\u00f3ria de Gilmar como formador de gera\u00e7\u00f5es e o definiu como um \u00edcone da dan\u00e7a baiana, com papel marcante na hist\u00f3ria do Bal\u00e9 Teatro Castro Alves.<\/p>\n

O presidente da funda\u00e7\u00e3o, Fernando Guerreiro, destacou o talento e o perfil humano do artista, lembrando sua presen\u00e7a marcante, generosidade e dedica\u00e7\u00e3o ao ensino. J\u00e1 o Bal\u00e9 Teatro Castro Alves, onde atuou por mais de 30 anos, tamb\u00e9m prestou homenagem, ressaltando sua contribui\u00e7\u00e3o como bailarino, core\u00f3grafo e professor.<\/p>\n

A diretora art\u00edstica do TCA, Rose Lima, enfatizou a versatilidade de Gilmar e sua dedica\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 forma\u00e7\u00e3o de novos artistas, al\u00e9m de destacar a perda para a cultura e para todos que conviveram com ele.<\/p>\n
