Morreu nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (19), aos 82 anos, Romenil, ex-zagueiro do futebol baiano e \u00eddolo do Vit\u00f3ria. A informa\u00e7\u00e3o foi confirmada pela reportagem do\u00a0Bahia Not\u00edcias. A causa da morte ainda n\u00e3o foi divulgada.<\/p>\n

Romenil construiu sua principal identifica\u00e7\u00e3o no futebol com a camisa rubro-negra. O ex-defensor atuou pelo Vit\u00f3ria entre 1961 e 1970 e fez parte de uma gera\u00e7\u00e3o marcante do clube, que conquistou o bicampeonato baiano de 1964 e 1965.<\/p>\n

Nascido em 2 de outubro de 1943, no bairro do Rio Vermelho, em Salvador, Romenil tamb\u00e9m teve passagens por Bahia, Le\u00f4nico e Ypiranga. Ele era irm\u00e3o de Carlinhos Gon\u00e7alves, tamb\u00e9m ex-jogador e com passagem pelo Vit\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n

Pelo Le\u00e3o da Barra, Romenil disputou mais de 90 partidas e encerrou sua trajet\u00f3ria no clube em 1970, no antigo Campo da Gra\u00e7a. A passagem pelo Rubro-Negro consolidou o ex-zagueiro como um dos nomes lembrados da hist\u00f3ria defensiva do Vit\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n

O bicampeonato baiano da d\u00e9cada de 1960 marcou um per\u00edodo relevante para o clube. O pr\u00f3prio Vit\u00f3ria registra em sua hist\u00f3ria oficial que aquelas conquistas representaram o primeiro bicampeonato estadual do Rubro-Negro.<\/p>\n
