Ag\u00eancia Brasil \u2014 O presidente Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva pediu ao ministro da Defesa, Jos\u00e9 M\u00facio Monteiro, que viaje para a Venezuela na pr\u00f3xima semana para ver como as For\u00e7as Armadas do Brasil podem ajudar o pa\u00eds vizinho diante dos impactos do terremoto ocorrido na \u00faltima quarta-feira (24).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lula deu a ordem ao ministro durante evento da Marinha,\u00a0em Itaja\u00ed (SC). Ap\u00f3s determinar a ida de M\u00facio Monteiro \u00e0 Venezuela, Lula pediu\u00a0um minuto de sil\u00eancio\u00a0pelas 589 mortes registradas at\u00e9 agora no pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

O n\u00famero de v\u00edtimas<\/a> pode ser ainda maior. O\u00a0site Desaparecidos Terremoto Venezuela, criado pela sociedade civil para reunir informa\u00e7\u00f5es extraoficiais sobre v\u00edtimas, estima que mais de 40 mil pessoas desaparecidas.<\/p>\n

Os terremotos de 7.2 e 7.5 da escala Ritcher afetaram, principalmente, o estado de La Guaira, onde houve o desabamento de uma s\u00e9rie de edif\u00edcios.<\/p>\n
