Ag\u00eancia Brasil \u2014 O Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) manifestou neste domingo (26) profundo pesar pelo falecimento do ex-presidente e ministro aposentado Octavio Gallotti, 95 anos\u00a0<\/p>\n

De acordo com a nota divulgada pelo STF, o vel\u00f3rio, aberto ao p\u00fablico, ser\u00e1 realizado no Sal\u00e3o Branco do STF, no dia 27 de julho, das 10h \u00e0s 16h. O sepultamento ser\u00e1 no dia 28, no Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n

Natural do Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Gallotti integrou o Supremo Tribunal Federal de 1984 a 2000, per\u00edodo em que participou da consolida\u00e7\u00e3o da jurisprud\u00eancia da Corte ap\u00f3s a promulga\u00e7\u00e3o da Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Federal de 1988. Presidiu o STF entre 1993 e 1995 e o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) entre 1994 e 1996.<\/p>\n

O presidente do Supremo Tribunal Federal, ministro Edson Fachin, destacou a contribui\u00e7\u00e3o de Gallotti para o pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

\u201cMagistrado de not\u00e1vel cultura jur\u00eddica, esp\u00edrito p\u00fablico exemplar e inabal\u00e1vel compromisso com a Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o, o Ministro Gallotti deixou marcas permanentes na constru\u00e7\u00e3o da jurisprud\u00eancia e no fortalecimento das institui\u00e7\u00f5es democr\u00e1ticas do Pa\u00eds\u201d, ressaltou Fachin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAo longo de sua vida p\u00fablica, exerceu a judicatura com independ\u00eancia, serenidade e elevado senso de dever, sempre orientado pelos valores da integridade, da prud\u00eancia e da defesa do Estado de Direito. Seu legado transcende as decis\u00f5es que proferiu, projetando-se na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de gera\u00e7\u00f5es de juristas e na consolida\u00e7\u00e3o da confian\u00e7a da sociedade no Poder Judici\u00e1rio.\u201d<\/p>\n

Em nota, o Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico Federal tamb\u00e9m manifestou pesar pelo falecimento do ministro Octavio Gallotti.<\/p>\n

\u201cSua atua\u00e7\u00e3o, marcada pelo equil\u00edbrio, pela independ\u00eancia e pelo rigor t\u00e9cnico, deixa um legado de inestim\u00e1vel valor para o Direito brasileiro e para a consolida\u00e7\u00e3o do Estado Democr\u00e1tico de Direito e fortalecimento das institui\u00e7\u00f5es\u201d, frisou o MPF.<\/p>\n
