O ator brit\u00e2nico Tim Curry morreu aos 80 anos, em sua resid\u00eancia em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos. A informa\u00e7\u00e3o foi divulgada nesta quarta-feira (26) pelo Bahia Not\u00edcias<\/a>, parceiro do Acorda Cidade.<\/p>\n

Curry ficou conhecido em Hollywood na d\u00e9cada de 1960. Nos anos 70, ele interpretou um de seus pap\u00e9is mais ic\u00f4nicos: a \u201cdoce travesti\u201d da Transilv\u00e2nia, Frank-N-Furter, no musical \u201cThe Rocky Horror Picture Show\u201d. Na produ\u00e7\u00e3o, Tim deu vida a um cientista pansexual e manipulador, obcecado em criar o homem perfeito para satisfazer seus pr\u00f3prios desejos.<\/p>\n

Ap\u00f3s o longa, Curry foi chamado para interpretar o palha\u00e7o Pennywise no filme \u201cIt<\/em>\u201c, de 1990, uma adapta\u00e7\u00e3o do livro de Stephen King. Em 1992, o ator viveu Sr. Hector, um dos funcion\u00e1rios do hotel de \u201cEsqueceram de Mim 2: Perdido em Nova York\u201d.<\/p>\n

Em julho de 2012, Tim Curry sofreu um grave derrame e precisou utilizar uma cadeira de rodas para se locomover desde ent\u00e3o. Seu \u00faltimo trabalho foi como o narrador do remake de \u201cThe Rocky Horror Picture Show<\/em>\u201c, lan\u00e7ado em 2016. <\/p>\n

Em comemora\u00e7\u00e3o aos 50 anos de Rocky Horror, com uma exibi\u00e7\u00e3o no Academy Museum, em 2025, o ator falou publicamente sobre seu estado de sa\u00fade. <\/p>\n

\u201cAinda n\u00e3o consigo andar, o que \u00e9 o motivo de eu estar nessa cadeira besta \u2014 e isso \u00e9 muito limitante. Ent\u00e3o, n\u00e3o cantarei, nem dan\u00e7arei, em breve. Ainda tenho problemas com minha perna esquerda\u201d, contou.<\/p>\n

Tim Curry nunca se casou e sempre manteve sua vida pessoal de maneira reservada.<\/p>\n
