Na manh\u00e3 de quarta-feira (27), durante fiscaliza\u00e7\u00f5es no km 429 da BR 116, munic\u00edpio de Feira de Santana, a Pol\u00edcia Rodovi\u00e1ria Federal (PRF) interceptou um ve\u00edculo que levava oito p\u00e1ssaros em uma gaiola de aproximadamente 30 cm de comprimento. O autom\u00f3vel, que seguia de S\u00e3o Paulo (SP) para Teot\u00f4nio Vilela (AL), transportava seis papa-capins e dois can\u00e1rios, todos considerados animais silvestres protegidos por lei.<\/p>\n

A a\u00e7\u00e3o configura crime ambiental, e o condutor do ve\u00edculo foi autuado, sendo lavrado o respectivo Termo Circunstanciado de Ocorr\u00eancia (TCO) em seu desfavor. Os p\u00e1ssaros foram encaminhados ao Instituto do Meio Ambiente e Recursos H\u00eddricos (Inema) local, \u00f3rg\u00e3o respons\u00e1vel pela prote\u00e7\u00e3o da fauna e flora na regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

A PRF alerta que a captura, transporte e com\u00e9rcio de animais silvestres sem autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o dos \u00f3rg\u00e3os competentes \u00e9 crime, previsto na Lei de Crimes Ambientais (Lei n\u00ba 9.605\/1998), com pena de deten\u00e7\u00e3o de seis meses a um ano, al\u00e9m de multa. A popula\u00e7\u00e3o pode colaborar denunciando atividades ilegais relacionadas \u00e0 fauna e flora atrav\u00e9s do telefone 191, da PRF.<\/p>\n
