A presidente do Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a da Bahia (TJ-BA), Cynthia\u00a0Maria Pina Resende, vai assumir o governo da Bahia nos pr\u00f3ximos dias. Ela ser\u00e1 a segunda mulher a comandar o Executivo baiano. A primeira foi a desembargadora e ent\u00e3o presidente do TJ-BA, Silvia Zarif, em 2008.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cynthia\u00a0ocupar\u00e1 o cargo interino de governadora porque Jer\u00f4nimo Rodrigues (PT) viajar\u00e1 para uma miss\u00e3o na Europa e n\u00e3o poder\u00e1 transferir o posto para o seu vice, Geraldo Jr. (MDB) por ele ser pr\u00e9-candidato a prefeito de Salvador nas elei\u00e7\u00f5es de outubro.\u00a0<\/p>\n

O pr\u00f3ximo na linha sucess\u00f3ria seria o presidente da Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia (AL-BA), Adolfo Menezes (PSD), mas a legisla\u00e7\u00e3o eleitoral tamb\u00e9m impede a nomea\u00e7\u00e3o. \u201cCaso eu assuma, deixo todo mundo ineleg\u00edvel em minha fam\u00edlia\u201d, explicou o presidente para o Bahia Not\u00edcias. Sua esposa, \u00a0Denise Menezes (PSD), \u00e9 pr\u00e9-candidata \u00e0 prefeitura de Campo Formoso.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cynthia Resende foi empossada na presid\u00eancia do TJ-BA em fevereiro e ocupar\u00e1 o cargo no bi\u00eanio 2024-2026. Ela sucedeu o desembargador Nilson Soares Castelo Branco no posto.\u00a0<\/p>\n
