Ag\u00eancia Brasil \u2013 O presidente da Guiana, Irfaan Ali, afirmou, no s\u00e1bado (9), que n\u00e3o se op\u00f5e a conversas ou reuni\u00f5es sobre a tens\u00e3o na disputa da regi\u00e3o de Essequibo. O texto foi postado na plataforma X (antigo Twitter), mesma rede utilizada pelo presidente venezuelano, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, que admitiu possibilidade de di\u00e1logo com as autoridades do pa\u00eds vizinho.<\/p>\n

\u201cEstamos comprometidos com a paz na regi\u00e3o. A #CIJ (Corte Internacional de Justi\u00e7a) determinar\u00e1, finalmente, a pol\u00eamica na fronteira Guiana\/Venezuela. Somos intransigentes nesse aspecto e no respeito pelo direito internacional. Deixamos claro que n\u00e3o temos oposi\u00e7\u00e3o a conversas e reuni\u00f5es como pessoas respons\u00e1veis \u200b\u200be como pa\u00eds\u201d, escreveu Ali.<\/p>\n

Mais cedo, Maduro havia escrito que deseja \u201cpaz e compreens\u00e3o\u201d para a regi\u00e3o. No entanto, mais de uma hora depois, elevou o tom. \u201cN\u00e3o contaram com a nossa ast\u00facia, o povo saiu em defesa da Guiana Essequiba. N\u00e3o poder\u00e3o ignorar a vontade soberana da Venezuela\u201d, disse Maduro.<\/p>\n
