O presidente da C\u00e2mara de Vereadores de Tucano, munic\u00edpio localizado na regi\u00e3o do Sisal, morreu ap\u00f3s se envolver em um acidente na BR-116 na manh\u00e3 desta ter\u00e7a-feira (7). Rodrigo Cavalcante (PSD) havia sido eleito h\u00e1 cerca de uma semana para comandar a Casa Legislativa. O vereador, que completou 48 anos na \u00faltima sexta-feira (3), estava em uma moto quando colidiu com um caminh\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

O acidente ocorreu por volta das 9h30, em um trecho da rodovia sentido Euclides da Cunha, pr\u00f3ximo \u00e0 entrada do povoado P\u00e9 de Serra. Segundo o Calila Not\u00edcias, parceiro do Acorda Cidade, o vereador estaria retornando de uma propriedade rural quando fez uma convers\u00e3o e colidiu com um caminh\u00e3o que seguia no sentido contr\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n

Ainda de acordo com o Calila, o motorista do caminh\u00e3o permaneceu no local do acidente e informou que foi surpreendido pela moto vindo em sua dire\u00e7\u00e3o, n\u00e3o conseguindo evitar a colis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Rodrigo Cavalcante era natural de S\u00e3o Paulo e concorreu pelo PPS ao cargo de vereador de Tucano pela primeira vez em 2008. Em 2024, o pol\u00edtico foi eleito com 1.358 votos e foi eleito presidente da C\u00e2mara de Vereadores de Tucano no dia 1\u00ba de janeiro.<\/p>\n
