Na \u00faltima sexta-feira (21), a Pol\u00edcia Federal<\/a>, em atua\u00e7\u00e3o conjunta com o ICMBIO e a CIPE-Caatinga (PM\/BA), realizou a Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Caepado II, segunda fase da opera\u00e7\u00e3o policial com o objetivo de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da desintrus\u00e3o realizada em novembro de 2024 e de combater o garimpo ilegal na Serra do Capeado, \u00e1rea integrante do Parque Nacional do Boqueir\u00e3o da On\u00e7a, no munic\u00edpio de Sento S\u00e9.<\/p>\n

A opera\u00e7\u00e3o resultou na desintrus\u00e3o de garimpeiros que promoviam a extra\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o autorizada de quartzo, na apreens\u00e3o de ve\u00edculos e destrui\u00e7\u00e3o de equipamentos utilizados na pr\u00e1tica do delito.<\/p>\n

As investiga\u00e7\u00f5es contra o garimpo continuam visando identificar os principais receptadores e eventuais financiadores da atividade il\u00edcita, cujos envolvidos responder\u00e3o pelos crimes de usurpa\u00e7\u00e3o de bens da Uni\u00e3o e dano ambiental \u00e0 Unidade de Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
