A elei\u00e7\u00e3o suplementar para a Prefeitura de Ruy Barbosa<\/a> ser\u00e1 disputada entre apenas dois candidatos: o m\u00e9dico George (PSD) e a vereadora Eridan de Bonif\u00e1cio (MDB)<\/strong>. A parlamentar \u00e9 esposa do ex-prefeito Bonif\u00e1cio (MDB), que foi o candidato mais votado nas elei\u00e7\u00f5es de 2024 (55,06% dos votos regulares), mas foi considerado ineleg\u00edvel pela justi\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

Segundo o portal de not\u00edcias g1, a candidatura de Bonif\u00e1cio foi indeferida em decis\u00e3o un\u00e2nime do Tribunal Regional Eleitoral da Bahia (TRE-BA), em outubro de 2024. A a\u00e7\u00e3o foi movida pela oposi\u00e7\u00e3o. A Corte reconheceu a inelegibilidade e determinou a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de um novo pleito.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A C\u00e2mara de Vereadores de Ruy Barbosa havia rejeitado a presta\u00e7\u00e3o de contas do ent\u00e3o prefeito no ano de 2016. Na \u00e9poca, a Casa apontou desvios em recursos do Fundo de Manuten\u00e7\u00e3o e Desenvolvimento da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o B\u00e1sica e de Valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o dos Profissionais da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o (Fundeb).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
