\u00a0O ex-prefeito de Paulo Afonso, Luiz Barbosa de Deus, faleceu na noite de sexta-feira (23), aos 86 anos, ap\u00f3s cerca de 10 dias internado na UTI do Hospital N\u00facleo Vida, no bairro BTN. Natural de Brejo Grande (SE), Luiz de Deus era m\u00e9dico, pecuarista e pol\u00edtico, tendo ocupado cargos de destaque na Bahia ao longo de mais de quatro d\u00e9cadas de vida p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n

Luiz Barbosa de Deus foi deputado estadual por quatro mandatos consecutivos (1995 a 2011), deputado federal entre 2013 e 2014, e prefeito de Paulo Afonso em tr\u00eas ocasi\u00f5es, 1989-1992, 2017-2020 e 2021-2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Em agosto de 2024, renunciou ao cargo de prefeito por motivos de sa\u00fade. Luiz de Deus enfrentava um quadro cl\u00ednico delicado, com hist\u00f3rico de hipertens\u00e3o, diabetes, tremores, decl\u00ednio cognitivo e disautonomia.<\/p>\n

Luiz de Deus deixa cinco filhos, al\u00e9m de netos e bisnetos.\u00a0<\/p>\n
