O Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico do Estado da Bahia (MPBA<\/a>), por meio do promotor de Justi\u00e7a Felipe da Mota Pazzola, ajuizou nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (8) uma A\u00e7\u00e3o Civil P\u00fablica (ACP) contra o Munic\u00edpio de Iti\u00faba, ap\u00f3s a morte de um beb\u00ea de 53 dias no hospital municipal da cidade. Na a\u00e7\u00e3o, Felipe Pazzola pede que a Justi\u00e7a determine ao Munic\u00edpio que melhore o atendimento no hospital e pague uma indeniza\u00e7\u00e3o de R$ 200 mil \u00e0 fam\u00edlia da crian\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

Segundo o promotor de Justi\u00e7a, o beb\u00ea<\/a> foi internado no dia 31 de julho de 2024 com um quadro grave de icter\u00edcia e suspeita de infec\u00e7\u00e3o, mas o hospital n\u00e3o tinha aparelho de fototerapia, equipamento necess\u00e1rio para o tratamento. Ainda segundo investiga\u00e7\u00f5es, o hospital n\u00e3o tinha m\u00e9dicos suficientes e houve falhas no atendimento durante a troca de plant\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Felipe Pazzola explica que ficou constatado que a morte da crian\u00e7a foi causada por problemas estruturais e organizacionais no hospital, como a falta de equipamentos essenciais, a aus\u00eancia de m\u00e9dicos <\/a>em n\u00famero suficiente e a falta de organiza\u00e7\u00e3o nos plant\u00f5es. Ele solicitou ainda que a Justi\u00e7a obrigue a Prefeitura a comprar um aparelho de fototerapia em at\u00e9 30 dias e a apresentar, em at\u00e9 60 dias, um plano de reestrutura\u00e7\u00e3o da escala m\u00e9dica do hospital.<\/p>\n
